Terms of Use
These terms describe the intended functional basis for Orbilingua. They require legal review and the final details of the operating entity before users or payments are accepted.
Last updated: July 25, 2026
1. Service
Orbilingua provides immersion-learning tools through a browser extension, a connected app, and optional synchronization and artificial intelligence services.
2. Early access
During beta, some features may change, fail, or be available only in certain browsers, languages, or websites. Integrations marked as beta are not guaranteed to remain continuously compatible.
3. Account and security
You are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting your credentials, and reporting unauthorized use. Orbilingua may restrict accounts that place the service at risk or violate these terms.
4. Permitted use
You may use Orbilingua for personal learning and process content you are legally authorized to access. You may not use it to infringe rights, bypass access controls, distribute unauthorized material, interfere with the service, or analyze it for malicious purposes.
5. Third-party content and services
Orbilingua may interact with third-party webpages, media players, dictionaries, and providers. Those services have their own terms. You are responsible for following them, and Orbilingua cannot guarantee that an integration will remain available if a third party changes its platform.
6. Your content
You retain the rights to your text, cards, and settings. You grant only the technical permissions required to process and synchronize them and return the result you requested.
7. Intellectual property
Orbilingua, Orbi, the interface, and original materials are protected by applicable laws. Third-party dictionaries and components retain their respective licenses and attributions.
8. AI features
Automated translations, explanations, and voices may contain errors. They should be used as educational support, not professional advice or the sole basis for important decisions.
9. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or remove features to improve security, compliance, or compatibility. We will try to provide notice when a change materially affects synchronized data or a core feature.
10. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, early access is provided “as is,” without guarantees of learning outcomes, fluency, uninterrupted availability, or third-party compatibility. Final limitations will be adapted to the launch jurisdiction.
11. Termination and export
You may stop using the service, remove the extension, and request account closure. Before an account is terminated, a reasonable way to export available data will be offered where technically possible.
12. Governing law and contact
The operating entity, jurisdiction, dispute process, and contact channel will be added before public launch. Until then, this document is a preparatory specification and not a contract ready for acceptance.
